The association founded by Bernard Morgan did not remain confined in Grain Britain, but gradually spread throughout the word, so today, practically all the Countries that boast a marine tradition have their national STA. Together with the Italian Association, the most recent are the French, the Australian, the Danish and the South African. Even if they are all affiliated to ISTA (actually STI), they are independent one from the other. But they are united in their basic purpose, to exchange their embarking programs and to offer youngsters the chance to go not only on board of vessels of their own Country, but also under different flags.
